Smart Solar for Shaded Rooftops: A Reliable Residential Installation by Moleyar Renewables


 Every rooftop is unique—and some come with challenges. One of the most common issues we see in residential solar projects is partial shading caused by nearby buildings, trees, or architectural elements. Instead of letting shade limit performance, Moleyar Renewables designs systems that work with these conditions, not against them.

For this residential project, shading was a major concern. Our goal was to ensure maximum energy generation, long-term reliability, and uninterrupted power backup. The result: a thoughtfully engineered AC-coupled solar system using best-in-class components.


The Challenge: Shade on the Rooftop

Shading can significantly reduce the output of conventional solar systems, especially those using string inverters where one shaded panel can affect the entire array. This site required a solution that could:

  • Minimize shading losses

  • Maintain high energy yield

  • Provide reliable backup during power outages


The Solution: AC-Coupled Solar with Microinverters

To overcome the shading challenge, we designed an AC-coupled solar system using Enphase IQ8P Microinverters.

For backup and energy management, the system includes:

  • Deye 10 kW Hybrid Inverter

  • Two Deye Lithium (LiFePO₄) Batteries

This setup provides:

  • Seamless backup during grid outages

  • Efficient energy storage and discharge

  • Long battery life and high safety standards

  • Smooth integration with the AC-coupled solar system

Residents now enjoy peace of mind knowing their home remains powered even when the grid goes down.





Grid Synchronization & Long-Term Assurance

The system is fully synchronized with BESCOM, ensuring compliance with grid regulations and smooth export of excess energy. Additionally, a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) has been completed, securing long-term benefits and confidence in the system’s performance.
